Russian Vogue May 2010

Editorial at it's best..beautiful.

Dinner with Dougal.

Dougal loves Stockholm.
He hasn't travelled by air for 1 year instead he has used trains, boats and autombiles.
Dougal is also one of the best directors around. He kicks ass!
His latest video for Temper Trap is brilliant. Those kids actually did back flip for real.
Check out more of his work at www.blinkprods.com

Saturday.

Brunch: home-made quesadilla's and guacamole.
Bike ride around Söder.
Dinner at Tennstopet.

Going to work.

There is a guy at work whose job it is to make the office look pretty... this week we were greeted with pots of flowers on the doorstep. And Friday he cooked homemade blueberry pie with white chocolate bits and creme anglais!

Walk in wardrobe

Ok so I can only step into it but I love me new 'step in wardrobe'!
Sam and I painted over the red paint with white and left the original wallpaper which couldn't be more perfect. A few nudes added and I have myself a little boudoir where dressing every morning has become one of my favourote rituals.

Treasure trove

My Mum has always collected little memories through the years. Mainly stones and shells from family holidays and she put them in a beautiful glass box and gave it to me.
It's one of my most treasured posessions.
Thank you Ma x

Frieda's hen party!

Frieda is getting married and she had the coolest hen party at her Hackney home.
Theme: Greys Garden (u know the mother and daughter who were related to the Kennedy's whose style was kooky to say the least... skirts as turbans etc!)
Music: Spiritualised playing in the kitchen.
Guests: many of my bestest London friends.

Gutted I missed it but will be at the wedding in May and I cannot wait!

(Thanks for the photo's Mads and Hannah)

Skärgård

The skärgård or archipelago is just 20 mins drive from our house..... a cluster of over 24 000 islands in the Baltic sea!
Can't wait to start camping there with an open fire, aquavit and friends.... midsummer anyone?

Travelling in style.

Sam's brother, Johan went to the Bahamas to interview Sweden's 3rd richest man and caught a lift home by private jet to Europe. Nice!

Rock Family Trees

My uncle Pete sent Sam and I one of his Rock Family Tree posters.
We love it!
Pete founded the music magazine ZigZag in 1969 and created the first ever Rock Family Tree for its 21st issue. They subsequently appeared in Sounds, NME, Melody Maker and Rolling Stone, on album sleeves and CD inserts. BBC Television broadcast two series of Rock Family Trees.
Each rock family tree was hand drawn and accuarately plots the careers of 100's of rock bands through the ages from Frank Zappa to Fleetwood Mac. He's covered the whole rock spectrum from punk to progressive.
Graphically they are works of arts.
Next up is Nirvana and Elton John.

Check out his blog.
He has so many cool stories from the 70's.

Sideboards.

Ikea £200.
Vitra £1200
High gloss mdf sideboard designed and built by Lowson/Åkesson £140!

Growing out a fringe.

I wish I had seen this picture when I was growing out mine! But to cut it in again would be a step back so this is for the ladies out there who are mid way......

Hanging pictures.....

and with such big walls it's all the more fun to get creative with how you group them.

If pantone did nail varnishes...

Now that would be amazing!
Unfortunately these are only a concept idea by Brizilian industrial designer Renata Veiga.

It's officially spring, I have a new job so what better way to celebrate than to buy new sandals.....I wanted Celine but then saw Margiela and have been daydreaming about them ever since.
Couldn't resist!
